Dia de Muertos with El Grito: a 60 meter drop tower
With Djurs Sommerland we continued our ten year partnership and master plan with the addition of El Grito, a 60-meter drop tower. The placement of El Grito plays a pivotal role in connecting the northern and southern sections of Mexicoland.
We designed the boarding station in such a way that it employed a thoughtful leveling, establishing an interesting relationship between riders and non-riders.
The gondola, positioned below ground level at its starting point, allows non-riders to peek into a tomb-like area within the station. The Dia de Muertos theme adds a celebratory yet heartfelt touch that resonates through the entire attraction and is blending within the overarching Mexican theme of the area.
What sets this project apart is its demonstration that quality can be achieved without extensive park expansion. The creative use of compact spaces and reallocation within the park exemplifies smart creativity, providing guests with a fresh and exciting experience.
